The President’s two-day #ResettingGhana Tour in the Volta Region included the sod-cutting event.

Speaking to locals and interested parties, President Mahama characterised the planned facility as a cutting-edge economic hub intended to support small companies, dealers, farmers, and entrepreneurs.

In addition to acting as a marketplace, he pointed out that the project will offer vital infrastructure for digital commerce, storage, processing, packaging, distribution, and financial services.

Through strategic investments in roads, healthcare, education, agriculture, transportation, markets, and agro-industrial projects, the President reiterated the government’s commitment to speeding development throughout the Volta Region.

He emphasised Juapong’s advantageous location and economic potential, suggesting that the town is well-positioned to become a major industrial and commercial hub in the area.

The Juapong Model Market will be one of the biggest facilities under the initiative’s flagship 24-Hour Economy concept.

The project’s importance to the region’s economic change is reflected in its designation as a Category Four Market, the program’s highest classification.
