Hanan Abdul-Wahab Aludiba, the wife of the former CEO of the National Food Buffer Stock Company (NAFCO), has applied to the High Court for permission to travel to the UK in order to provide their kid with medical care.
Faiza Seidu Wuni, the applicant, is requesting that the court change her bail terms so that she can go overseas while she and her husband are on trial in a criminal case.
The hearing for the application is set for Tuesday, July 28.
Only a few weeks have passed since Mr. Aludiba submitted a similar request to the court, requesting permission to travel abroad for medical reasons.
Given that Mrs. Wuni’s application was submitted just a few days after her husband’s request, the prosecution has expressed scepticism regarding the order in which the two petitions were submitted.
The defence argues that the request is only to allow the applicant to accompany or obtain medical care for the couple’s son in the United Kingdom, despite the prosecution raising concerns about the circumstances surrounding the application.
Before deciding whether to approve the application, the court is supposed to hear arguments from both the prosecution and the defence.

Criminal charges have been brought against Mr. Abdul Hanan Abdul-Wahab Aludiba, the former CEO of the National Food Buffer Stock Company, and his spouse for alleged financial misconduct when he worked for the government organization.
The two are presently on bail while the matter is being decided since they have denied the accusations.
