Ghanaian actor and entrepreneur Yaw Dabo has denied claims that his recent trip to the United States was sponsored by the government or any politician.
The popular actor clarified that his trip was funded by Dr. ‘Time Daso’ of Medimafo Herbal Hospital, who paid for his airline ticket to the US.
Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM on August 10, 2026, Yaw Dabo explained that his sponsor only covered the cost of his flight and did not finance his accommodation or other personal expenses.
According to the actor, no government official or politician provided financial support for his trip.
“I heard Dada Santo saying that the government sponsored my trip, but it’s not true. No politician paid for my trip to the US. It’s Dr Time Daso of Medimafo Herbal Hospital who sponsored me,” Yaw Dabo stated.
Yaw Dabo Clarifies Who Paid for His US Trip
Yaw Dabo stressed that Dr Time Daso’s financial support was limited strictly to his flight ticket.
He explained that he personally covered the costs associated with his hotel accommodation and other expenses incurred during his stay in the United States.
“He paid for just my ticket and nothing more. My hotel and other expenses are not included,” he said.
The clarification follows claims circulating about the source of funding for Yaw Dabo’s US trip, prompting the actor to publicly explain the circumstances surrounding his travel.
Yaw Dabo’s comments have put to rest speculation that Ghana’s government or a political figure financed his visit to the United States, while highlighting the private sponsorship provided by Dr Time Daso of Medimafo Herbal Hospital.
