The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has officially opened its 2026/2027 recruitment and enlistment exercise for qualified degree holders and professionals seeking to join the military as commissioned officers.
The latest Ghana Armed Forces recruitment exercise provides an opportunity for eligible graduates and professionals to pursue careers within the country’s military services.
GAF Recruitment 2026/2027 Application Details
The Ghana Armed Forces has published detailed entry requirements, eligibility criteria and recruitment categories on its official Facebook page for prospective applicants.
Applicants who meet the requirements can begin the process by purchasing an official GAF recruitment application voucher for GH¢200 at designated Ghana Post Offices across the country from Thursday, September 3, 2026.
The official Ghana Armed Forces recruitment portal is scheduled to open on Friday, September 4, 2026, allowing applicants to complete and submit their applications online.
All completed application forms must be submitted through the online recruitment system by Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
GAF Warns Applicants Against Recruitment Scams
The military high command has issued a strong warning to prospective applicants to be cautious of individuals claiming they can secure recruitment opportunities through unofficial channels.
In a statement signed by the Acting Director General of Public Relations, Captain (Ghana Navy) Veronica Adzo Arhin, the Ghana Armed Forces stressed that it does not use middlemen or recruitment agents.
The GAF also clarified that applicants are not required to pay any additional fees apart from the official GH¢200 application voucher.
Members of the public have therefore been advised to ignore anyone demanding extra payments in exchange for admission into the Ghana Armed Forces recruitment exercise.
How to Report Fake GAF Recruitment Activities
Applicants who encounter suspected recruitment fraud, fake agents or other suspicious activities are encouraged to report them to the Ghana Armed Forces.
