Ghana’s Fight Against Illegal Mining

Government-led enforcement operations and natural resource protection initiatives continue to attract public attention as authorities seek sustainable solutions to the galamsey challenge.

The Progress Series provides an opportunity for the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources and NAIMOS to communicate their work, discuss ongoing interventions, and present priorities for the coming year.

Further details on specific operational achievements and 2027 targets are expected to emerge from the programme.
