The Ghana Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced a nationwide mop-up recruitment exercise to fill vacancies created by applicants who failed to report to their assigned districts and health facilities.
According to the ministry, the recruitment exercise is scheduled for Monday, October 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. GMT.
The announcement was contained in a statement signed by Tony Goodman, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health.
Ghana Health Recruitment 2026: Available Vacancies
The nationwide recruitment exercise will cover vacancies for nurses and pharmacy professionals across teaching hospitals, facilities operated by the Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG) and the Ghana Health Service (GHS).
The Ministry of Health said the available nursing positions include:
- 266 nursing vacancies in teaching hospitals
- 133 nursing vacancies under CHAG facilities
- 30 nursing vacancies under the Ghana Health Service
In addition, 36 pharmacy-related vacancies have been announced. These comprise:
- 5 pharmacist positions
- 31 pharmacist technician positions
The available positions are intended to replace applicants who were previously selected but did not report to their designated districts and health facilities.
