Kennedy Agyapong, a controversial presidential candidate for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has claimed that his recent remarks that the party lost the 2024 elections in 2022 while speaking at the “Showdown” Walk were an attack on Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, another candidate for the position of flagbearer.
He claimed that the Domestic Debt Exchange Programme (DDEP) and the issue of currency depreciation, which peaked in 2022, were the two main economic concerns that influenced many voters’ decisions.
