Police have refuted the demonstrators’ allegations that they were mistreated and abused while marching recently toward Jubilee House.

On Thursday, there was a #OccupyJulorbiHouse action, and people were detained at the 37 lorry station.

Some of those detained claimed to have been beaten after being brought into prison. According to reports, journalists and attorneys encountered abuse when attempting to speak with the demonstrators who had been arrested.

Although they acknowledged that arrests were made, the police disputed this version of events, claiming that “nobody was manhandled or beaten” during the arrest.

After the incident, the demonstrators went back to the lorry station to resume their protest.
