The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has nominated the sole candidate in the parliamentary primaries as its candidate for the 2024 parliamentary elections.
Dr. Kofi Annan, a businessman and academic, ran in the 2020 parliamentary election and won a big victory even though he was confirmed as a candidate quite late.
Delegates received a resounding cheer when Dr Kofi Annan was introduced in a short but colorful ceremony at Sir Charles Beach in Winneba.
The National Executive Committee was represented by NEC member Ransford Vanni, while the regional delegation was led by Chairman, Professor Richard Faciledu.
Professor Richard Asiadu emphasized the party’s commitment to regaining the Effutu seat lost to the NPP in 2012. He called on party members to come together to pursue victory in 2024 and beyond.
For his part, Dr. Kofi Annan pledged to give everything to serve the party and voters, and lead them to victory in 2024.
