Members of Parliament (MPs) have received a harsh warning from Kennedy Agyapong’s campaign manager. Agyapong is one of the candidates in the November 4th New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primary.
MPs who vote against Agyapong in the next elections, according to Owusu, should be ready to suffer the repercussions since Agyapong’s campaign staff will actively oppose their candidacies in their individual constituencies.
Despite their close acquaintances, Owusu highlighted the hesitation of some well-known MPs, such Honorable K.T. Hammond and Afenyo-Markin, who have not endorsed Agyapong.
He ascribed their reluctance to fear of losing their jobs and psychological pressure.
“Most of these MPs will be cleaned up when we get the chance to win,” Owusu said. We are going to fight them.
On November 4, 2023, the NPP will hold its internal presidential primaries. Kennedy Agyapong, Francis Addia-Nimoh, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, and Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto will compete fiercely.
Agyapong’s campaign team isn’t giving up on winning even though independent polls indicate Vice President Bawumia is the front-runner with over 78% of the predicted votes from more than 200,000 delegates.
