Yesterday, Thursday, November 9, tragedy struck when about thirteen people were drowned in the Afram River while trying to cross to a farm at Azietsi-Korpe, a community in the Afram Plains South District near Agyata.
This regrettable occurrence has been confirmed by Johnson Anglesinya, the Assembly member from the Agyata electorate region.
He disclosed that the victims were hired hands from Maame Krobo and the neighboring districts, employed by a local commercial farmer by the name of “Burger.”
Anglesinya announced that he planned to visit the location with NADMO and Police representatives in order to obtain more details and obtain a better grasp of the facts underlying this unfortunate incident.
