Mathew Opoku Prempeh, the Minister of Energy, has highlighted the youth’s crucial role in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) impending 2024 elections.

He emphasized the necessity of energizing the party’s grassroots and urged the young people to spearhead a vigorous campaign in favor of the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Mathew Opoku Prempeh gave a speech at the NPP’s Ashanti Regional Youth Conference on Saturday at the Prempeh Assembly Hall in Kumasi. He stressed the critical role that the youth must play in ensuring the party’s electoral success.

Under the subject “A formidable Youth Wing; a Catalyst for Breaking the 8,” the passionate crowd gathered.

He said, “I have enormous confidence in the ability of the NPP youth wing to lead a campaign that will expose the deficiencies in the promises of John Mahama, whose record in government is nothing to write home about.”

He emphasized the NPP’s capacity to reduce inflation, which is currently at 26.4% from 54.1% a year ago, when discussing the party’s achievements in office.

“We know what we are about,” he continued, adding that this demonstrated that the Akufo-Addo administration is not lazily carrying out its duties.

With unabashed confidence, Mr. Opoku Prempeh contrasted the opposition’s record with the NPP’s, saying, “The NPP record in government is superior to that of John Mahama and the NDC.”

“We must be bold to tell the Ghanaian people about our solid track record in the context of the challenges we have had to navigate through as a government.”

He reiterated the party’s message, saying that the NPP remains the only credible party with a track record of success and the most trustworthy roadmap for the development and prosperity of our nation.

Using the words “Together, we shall work hard to break the 8!” the minister inspired the young people.

The gathering, which attracted ardent party supporters, struck a chord with the demand for a cohesive and dynamic young wing to help the NPP win the 2024 elections.
