The Executive Council has received the report and suggestions from the Black Stars head coach search committee.
On Tuesday, yesterday, February 27, 2024, President Simeon-Okraku got the report.
The next Black Stars Coach will be chosen by the Executive Council after it has reviewed the search committee’s proposals. The FA will solicit support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports and other important stakeholders when the coaching decision has been made.
Recall that after Chris Hughton left the senior Men’s national team, the Executive Council assigned a five-person committee directed by Vice President Mark Addo to find a replacement coach.
It was also required of the Committee to identify qualified coaches and give them consideration even in the event that they choose not to apply for the position.
Vice President Mark Addo, Banker Kojo Addae Mensah, Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah, Ghanaian football star Opoku Nti, and Chief Director of the Ministry of Youth and Sports William Kartey were among the five members of the search committee.
