The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has increased the balance and transaction limits of its users’ mobile money wallets as of today, March 1, 2024.
According to a statement from the Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications, the development is consistent with growing transactional activity trends and changing client requirements.
The statement also mentioned that a minimum account, which had a GH¢6,000 restriction at first, has been reviewed to GH¢10,000 when looking at the breakdown of the review of monthly transaction limitations.
Both the enhanced account, which had no monthly transaction value restrictions, and the medium account, which had no such restrictions, are still in place.
