The limited voter registration process is proceeding without a hitch, according to the Electoral Commission (EC), notwithstanding the previous setback.

Some regions in the country, including Ayawaso West Wougon, Ayawaso Central, Korle Klotey, Ayawaso East, and Ayawaso North, experienced technological difficulties during the 21-day exercise that started.

According to an EC statement, internet access was the cause of the technical difficulties.

But most registration centers around the country have fixed the technical problems.

The goal of the exercise, according to EC Chairperson Jean Mensa, is to register some 623,000 new voters.

Using the lessons learned from previous forecasts, she emphasized the Commission’s dedication to enabling a seamless registration process.

The chairman of the EC informed the public that her organization was ready for any obstacles, especially power shortages.
