A group of Ghanaian Paralympic competitors has vanished from sight after being disqualified from the Fjordkraft Bergen Marathon in Oslo, Norway.
An eleven-person Ghanaian team landed in Oslo on April 25, 2024, to compete in the marathon, according to a letter dated July 3 from the Ministry of National Security to the Ministries of Youth and Sports and Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.
They did not, however, attend the function. After they did not show up, a search was started.
Team member and para-athlete Nana Antwi was arrested while trying to take a train from Norway to Sweden.
