On Sunday, September 1, 2024, a fire started in Accra’s Makola neighborhood along Zongo Lane.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) dispatched firefighters to put out the fire. Thick smoke could be seen rising from the tops of the structures that housed stores.
On the other hand, the firefighters made an effort to prevent additional damage from the fire. It is currently unknown what started the fire.
