‘Sabuto,’ also known as Prince Acheampong, the head coach of King Faisal, died following a fight with illness. His age was fifty-two.
After spending several days in the hospital, Acheampong passed away on Tuesday afternoon from the unidentified illness.
In January 2025, he succeeded Barnabas Awuni as head coach of King Faisal.
Asante Kotoko has expressed their sorrow and offered prayers for Acheampong’s family, loved ones, and the entire King Faisal fraternity in response to the shocking news.
During his managerial career, Acheampong held positions with the Porcupine Warriors, Fabulous Ladies FC, and Dunkwa United.
He also won the Ashanti Regional Inter-School boys soccer tournament with T.I. Ahmadiyya SHS and Opoku Ware School (OWASS).
