The Lands Minister, Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, met with the GoldBoard Technical Committee on Monday, February 10, 2025, under the direction of Mr. Sammy Gyamfi Esq., Acting Managing Director of the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC).
A thorough policy proposal for the GoldBoard’s establishment was presented by Mr. Sammy Gyamfi during the meeting, highlighting the committee’s willingness to work with important stakeholders to produce a bill for the GoldBoard’s creation.
The GoldBoard, a creation of the present administration, “is here to stay,” according to Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, MP, Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, who praised the concept.
In addition to controlling the gold industry, stabilizing the cedi, and optimizing gold export earnings, he pointed out that this development shows the government’s dedication to improving the nation’s natural resource management.
