The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has charged Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, the owner of Elmina Sharks Football Club, with violating the Division One League Regulations and the GFA Disciplinary Code.

The allegations are related to a confrontation that occurred at the Dr. Nduom Sports Complex during a league game between the Elmina Sharks and Swedru All Blacks. Dr. Nduom allegedly disrupted the game by entering the field without permission to challenge a penalty call.

Dr. Nduom is accused by the GFA of utilizing social media to inflame emotions and instigating players, officials, and spectators against the match officials. His response to the charges is due on February 19.

Kingsley Smith Arthur, the Elmina Sharks’ Public Relations Officer (PRO), asserts that the attackers of referee Morrison are not true team supporters but rather imposters.

“A player pointed out one of the imposters from Swedru, claiming he had seen the man during our first-leg match. This alleged imposter hit the player, leading to a confrontation. At that moment, after striking the player, the imposter grabbed the referee.” He said.

“If you watch the video, you’ll notice a man in white attire holding the referee, with ‘Elmina Sharks’ written on the back. These are the imposters we’re talking about, and we have video evidence to prove it.” He reiterated.
