Mr. Eric Nartey Yeboah, the second vice chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for Greater Accra Region (GAR), has entered the race to unseat the main opposition National Democratic Congress from the Madina Constituency (NDC).
Flyers for the former Madina constituency chairman are already circulating on various social media sites in the area.
The phrase “The man we should all seek for in Madina Constituency” appears on the brochure bearing the image of the Current NPP Second Vice Chairman.
At the NPP’s primary for the orphan constituencies, the man known as Chairman Dollar is anticipated to face up against three other contenders, including Dr. Solomon Boateng, businessman Mr. Robert Lamptey, and former second vice constituency chairman Mr. Padmore Baffour Agyepong.
In an interview with Classfmonline.com on Tuesday, April 18, 2024, Mr. Yeboah, a security professional by trade, stated that it was his calling to serve the people of Madina after his work as a Constituency Chairman.
He claims that he decided to run for office in 2011 because he has always enjoyed the opportunity to represent the people of Madina.
To break the eight, “we need people who can perform the job, not just people who take up positions and don’t affect people’s life,” the speaker stated.
It will be challenging to mobilize for the party to break the eight without the right personnel at the constituency levels, he said.
