Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, a prospective presidential candidate for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has declared that he will never drop out of the race.

Tuesday night, the Assin Central Member of Parliament gave a speech to party members in the New Juaben North seat in the Eastern Region. He urged them to dismiss rumors that he might drop out of the race near the end of the election to back another candidate.

Kennedy Agyapong seeks to alter the Dankwa-Busia-Dombo NPP heritage by introducing local customs that will transfer authority from the party’s elites to the grassroots.

Since the NPP’s founding in 1993, Mr. Kennedy Agyapong has personally sacrificed a great deal of financial and logistical support for the party.

He charged some government officials with having a sense of entitlement since they have amassed wealth over night without contributing a dollar to the party.

If the party’s delegates continue to support those who take them for granted, Mr. Agyapong declared he will step down from politics and enjoy his wealth.

Kennedy Agyapong said of Anas Aremeyaw Anas that he had subdued the journalist to stop his nefarious plans to harm the NPP and the government, but he lamented that no NPP member had supported him during his court battle with Anas.
