Honorable Haruna Iddrisu, the Minister of Education, had a courtesy call from His Excellency Khalid Bin Jabor Al-Mesallam, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Ghana, in Accra.
The Minister emphasized the need to strengthen Ghana-Qatar bilateral relations, particularly through closer links between their respective Ministries of Education, in a cordial and fruitful discussion.
The Minister’s revelation of intentions to build an Islamic medical school in Ghana’s northern region—which will serve as a teaching hospital for the University for Development Studies (UDS)—was a significant highlight of the conference.
It is anticipated that this project will enhance healthcare access and medical education in the area.
Ambassador Al-Mesallam emphasized Qatar’s commitment to future cooperation and conveyed his intense interest in the talks.
