President Mahama names fifteen new high commissioners and ambassadors.

Fifteen new ambassadors, high commissioners, and consuls general have been appointed by President John Dramani Mahama to Ghana’s overseas mission stations.

In a letter to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the President’s Executive Secretary, Dr. Callistus Mahama, stated that the nominations come after the President confers with the Council of State.

Madam Kulsoume Sinare Baffoe, Ambassador-Designate to the Kingdom of Spain; Mr. Hammed Rashid Tunde Ali, Ambassador-Designate to the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi); Captain George Kofi Nfojoh, Ambassador-Designate to Togo; Mr. Benjamin A. Quashie, High Commissioner-Designate to South Africa; and Mr. Kojo Bonsu, Ambassador-Designate to China, are the nominees.

The others are Professor Ohene Adjei, Ambassador-Designate to Germany; Mr. Abdul Nasiru-Deen, Ambassador-Designate to Turkey; Madam Theresah Adjei-Mensah, Ambassador-Designate to the Czech Republic; Prof. Kwasi Obiri-Danso, Ambassador-Designate to India; and Madam Grace El Mahmoud Marabe, Consul-General-Designate to the United Arab Emirates (Dubai).

The remaining individuals are Ambassador-Designate Felix Kumah Godwin Anebo to Senegal, Ambassador-Designate Nii Amasah Namoale to Brazil, Ambassador-Designate Mr. Labik Joseph Yaani to Equatorial Guinea, Ambassador-Designate Dr. Dora Francisca Edu-Buandoh to Canada, and Ambassador-Designate Dr. Margaret Miewien Chebere to Denmark.

The letter instructs the Foreign Affairs Minister to take all necessary actions to make the nominees’ appointment procedures easier.
