Cardinal Namdini Mining Ltd., situated in the Talensi District of the Upper East Region, will not only grow to be the third-largest mining company in the nation but also one of the titans of the entire African continent, Hon. Samuel A. Jinapor revealed to the media personnel.

The upcoming commissioning has the Hon. Minister ecstatic because he thinks it will further solidify Ghana’s standing as one of the world’s top producers of gold.

In addition to the substantial economic contributions the company will make to the nation, the Hon. Minister is excited about the project’s completion because of the job opportunities and development initiatives the Talensi area will see.

He praised his Ministry and the Minerals Commission for their varied roles in establishing the company and commended the management and employees for their consistency since the project’s inception.

“This is the first large-scale gold mine in the North, which is really historic. In the first week of November, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will commission this mine and pour the first gold here at the Cardinal Namdini project. It is going to be the third-largest mine in our country and one of the largest mines in Africa.

“It is going to further consolidate Ghana’s status as a leading producer of gold in the world. It will also strengthen Ghana’s status as the mining hub of Africa where all mining-related activities take place. This is the first greenfield gold mine project for almost a decade. It was built from scratch and I’m here to see the progress of work. This is momentous and exciting.

“It is a big project which is going to contribute hugely to the national economy of our country. I want to thank the leadership of the company, the Ministry, the Minerals Commission led by Mr. Martin Ayisi, and all those who have contributed to get this project here,” he reiterated.

Cardinal Namdini Mining’s project manager, Mr. Steve Ofori, described the project’s features. He said the company has made investments in cutting-edge, top-notch mining equipment that will guarantee that its operations adhere to safety and environmental regulations.

He revealed that the Environmental Protection Agency and all other pertinent regulators have given their approval to the business.

Hon. Samuel A. Jinapor and his delegation from the Ministry and Minerals Commission made a courtesy call to Kugbilsong Nanlebeglang, the Paramount Chief of the Talensi Traditional Area, before they visited the mining company’s location.

Kugbilsong Nanlebeglang, the Paramount Chief of the Talensi Traditional Area, said the mining company’s founding was revolutionary for both the region and the nation.

Kugbilsong Nanlebeglang stated his conviction that the business will carry out its obligations under the Corporate Social Responsibility agreement and mine in a manner that does not adversely affect the environment.

He hopes that the area will see tremendous development and that the company will provide a large number of job opportunities for the local youth.
