The Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) would like to notify the public that any publications about pesticide residues in okra and cabbage that are now making the rounds on social media and in mainstream media have not been approved, approved, or issued by the GSA.

The Authority is aware of the aforementioned publication and wants to make it clear that GSA has not confirmed its content.

It is recommended that stakeholders, media outlets, and members of the public ignore the publication and only depend on official communications from the Authority regarding food safety and product conformance.

The public is urged to get in touch with the Ghana Standards Authority via its established channels for precise, verifiable information.

GSA is still dedicated to protecting public health and making sure that only reliable, scientifically validated information is disseminated on issues falling within its regulatory purview.
