Adu Boahen’s firing was decisively made, according to a government spokesperson

The President’s choice to fire Charles Adu Boahen, the Minister of State for Finance, was pivotal, according to Kofi Tontoh, a member of the Akufo-Addo administration’s media team.

He believes it demonstrates a president who is unwilling to support corruption.

However, Kofi Tontoh suggested that Mr. Adu Boahen should be given the opportunity to address all of the claims before the Special Prosecutor.

On the Big Issue on TV3 with Berla Mundi on Tuesday, November 15, Mr. Tontoh stated, “This is a determined choice by the President.”

In order to demonstrate that the President does not support corruption, he continued, “Let Adu Boahen have his day. Once all the facts come out, if any additional action is needed, it will be taken.”
