Afia Schwarzenegger responded to her long-time rival Chairman Wontumi’s punishment by posting a scathing social media celebration.
Afia posted a picture of her late father online shortly after an Accra High Court sentenced Bernard Antwi-Boasiako to 20 years in prison on Monday, July 20, 2026.
“THE LAW IS THE LAW… HIS NAME IS KOJO AGYEI, AND HE’S MY GUARDIAN ANGEL OF VENGEANCE… YOU’VE NOT SEEN ANYTHING YET!!!!” she wrote.
The response takes place in the context of a long-running, acrimonious conflict between the two that has been broadcast on radio, television, social media, and in court.
Afia was awarded damages by an Accra High Court in 2022 after she made disparaging comments about Wontumi on United Showbiz in response to claims that they had an affair in the past.
After routinely missing court appearances, she was cited for contempt and sentenced to ten days in prison, which was eventually replaced with a GH¢60,000 fine and a 36-month good behaviour term.
Wontumi’s company, Akonta Mining Company Limited, was found guilty on all six counts pertaining to illicit mining operations at Samreboi in the Western Region.
