The terrible military helicopter crash that killed a number of prominent government officials and military personnel in the Adansi area of the Ashanti Region has caused former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to express his deep sorrow.

Earlier in the day, Mr. Julius Debrah, the Chief of Staff in the Office of the President, formally announced the fatalities.
Former President Akufo-Addo disclosed that he personally sent his condolences to National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia and President John Dramani Mahama, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces.
“I condole with our gallant men of the Ghana Air Force at this concerning time and salute their indispensable role in the public life of our country. My deepest sympathies also go to the bereaved families, who have lost cherished loved ones in service to our country.”
“May they find peaceful rest in the Bosom of the Almighty until the Last Day of the Resurrection, when we shall all meet again,” he added.
