The Mayor of Accra, Hon. Elizabeth Kwatsoe Tawiah Sackey has distributed solid waste collection tools, protective boots and gloves to the three sub-metro offices under the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) ahead of a major clean-up exercise scheduled for this Saturday.
The tools which include wheelbarrows, wellington boots, shovels, spades, rakes, hand gloves, nose masks, long brooms, and cutlasses are expected to equip the sub-metro offices with the necessary tools to efficiently carry out the clean-up exercise.
The clean-up exercise is part of a series of activities organized by the AMA to rejuvenate the city’s appearance and environmental sustainability as it celebrates its anniversary and prepares for the final funeral rites of the late Ga Manye, Naa Dedei Omaedru III.
