The Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has urged the private sector, hospitality companies, and artists to make investments in culinary tourism, African food culture, and food innovation hubs, emphasising that “food is not just nourishment, it’s a tool for growth and unity.”

Along with Hon. Yussif Issaka Jajah and other Ministry officials, the Minister visited the festival grounds and spoke with diplomats, chefs, and exhibitors.

This year’s Afro-Gastro Festival was a lively celebration of African creativity, culture, and food, drawing over 14 embassies, business partners, and well-known artists including Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Bessa Simons, Sherifa Gunu, and Byno Ayoni.

Given the tremendous local and worldwide interest, the Minister made a suggestion that the event would be larger the next year.
