Discussions also emphasised the need for stronger local governance, increased community participation and transparent management of mining revenues to ensure that mineral wealth supports infrastructure development, job creation and improved public services.

The participation of Mahama Ayariga underscored the relevance of local government institutions and traditional authorities in promoting accountability and ensuring that communities benefit from mining activities.

As African countries continue to explore opportunities in the mining sector, effective mineral resource management, responsible mining practices and equitable revenue distribution remain essential to achieving inclusive economic growth and long-term environmental sustainability.
