New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has congratulated the party’s newly elected regional executives following the successful completion of the NPP Regional Executive Elections across Ghana.
In a congratulatory message, Dr. Bawumia praised the peaceful conduct of the elections, describing it as an indication of the party’s commitment to internal democracy, unity and respect for the views of its members.
He expressed confidence that the newly elected regional executives would provide the leadership needed to strengthen the NPP and help position the party for success in the 2028 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.
Dr. Bawumia also commended all candidates who participated in the regional elections for offering themselves to serve the party and its members.
He encouraged candidates who were unsuccessful to support and work with the newly elected executives in the interest of party unity.
According to Dr. Bawumia, the conclusion of the regional elections should mark the beginning of a renewed effort to build unity, strengthen the NPP’s grassroots structures and prepare the party for the 2028 general elections.
“The regional contest is over, the greater task is unity and renewed energy to secure victory in 2028 and it begins now,” he said.
The message comes as the NPP begins preparations for its next phase of internal organisation, with regional executives expected to play a key role in mobilising supporters and strengthening the party ahead of the 2028 Ghana elections.
