Stonebwoy, Ghana’s current Artiste of the Year, has congratulated Nigerian Afrobeats artist Davido on his marriage to longtime partner Chioma Rowland.
Social media users have been using the hashtag #CHIVIDO2024 to share images and videos of Davido and Chioma’s extravagant wedding, which attracted well-known performers and political figures throughout the continent.
Davido’s longtime collaborator on the iconic smash song “Activate,” Stonebwoy, congratulated him and sent him best wishes for his upcoming marriage.
In a widely shared video, the multiple award-winning performer stated, “Congratulations to my brother Davido, you have done an honorable thing.” God bless who finds a wife, God bless a wife who finds a husband. Because that is the natural order, to procreate and fill up the earth.”
Although Davido and Chioma have been together for more than ten years, the Afrobeats musician revealed their relationship to the public in 2018.
Although there have been several allegations of breakups throughout their relationship, Davido proposed to well-known chef Chioma in 2019.
The 2020 wedding ceremony was supposed to take place, but the COVID-19 epidemic forced a postponement.
Following a tragic episode in 2022 in which their child died as he turned three, the couple had twins in October 2023.
