Hon. Donkor visited the NSA’s 100-acre maize farm at Abutia and 40-acre maize farm at Kpetoe in the Volta Region. Hon. Fuseni Donkor, however, claims that every cassava grower working on the farms in Abutia is an encroacher.
He emphasized the significance of reclaiming every acre to enable agricultural expansion and directed farm managers to interact with and appropriately pay those encroaching on NSA holdings.
In order to guarantee better storage conditions, Hon. Fuseni ordered the urgent repair of dryers and the renovation of warehouse infrastructure after noticing the declining state of the grinding facilities.
He also emphasized how vital it is to expedite planting, harrowing, and plowing operations in order to coincide with the crucial planting season.

Hon. Donkor oversaw the drilling of at least two boreholes for each farm in order to address ongoing issues with the water supply.
Additionally, he suggested building a natural dam at Kpetoe to improve irrigation and rainwater collection.
Hon. Donkor visited farms in Ejura, Kumawu, and Donkronkwanta as part of his ongoing tour of the Ashanti Region.
He verified that fertilizers had been delivered and the soil preparation was finished in Ejura, where poultry projects and maize production are currently underway.
He noted that the land preparation at Kumawu was complete, but he emphasized how urgently rice seedlings are needed in order to start planting operations.
He added that in an effort to diversify crop production, tomatoes were being grown in addition to maize.
He verified the delivery of 60 bags of maize seedlings and the completion of planting preparations at Donkronkwanta in the meantime. He added that the drying facility on the property was in fine operating order.
Hon. Donkor expressed hope for a bountiful crop if all went as planned and announced intentions to enlist local volunteers to support farming operations.
He praised the farm managers’ commitment and diligence and asked them to step up their efforts to increase yields and make a substantial contribution to the NSA’s overall goal of promoting national agricultural development.
