Dr. Bossman Asare, the Deputy Chairperson of the Electoral Commission responsible for Corporate Services, has tendered his resignation.
Felix Ofosu Kwakye, Minister of Government Communications, verified the news today at the Government Accountability Series.
According to him, Dr. Asare has sent the President a letter of resignation, effective July 31, 2026.
The Minister says that Dr. Asare resigned because he wanted to return to academia. He will return to work as a staff member at the University of Ghana.
“Dr. Bossman expressed his appreciation to the President and the people of Ghana for the opportunity to serve the country,” Mr. Ofosu Kwari said.
In a related event, the Minister also announced that Dr Samuel Tettey, the Deputy Chairperson responsible for Operations, had also retired from the Commission.
