His Royal Highness Kampakuya Naa Yakubu II was installed as Regent of Dagbon at the Gbewaa Palace in Yendi, and President John Dramani Mahama was present.
In an expression of solidarity, continuity, and reverence for the beloved Dagbon customs and traditions, the ceremony brought together traditional authorities, government representatives, religious leaders, and residents of the Dagbon Kingdom.
In addition to congratulating the Regent on his installation, President Mahama reiterated the government’s dedication to collaborating closely with traditional authorities in order to drive inclusive national development, maintain Ghana’s rich cultural legacy, and foster peace.
