The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced an emergency power outage in parts of the Volta Region on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, to allow engineers to work on a fault affecting electricity supply.
According to ECG, the emergency maintenance exercise is aimed at addressing the fault and improving power supply and service delivery to customers in the affected communities.
The temporary ECG power outage is scheduled to take place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
Areas Affected by ECG Power Outage
The following communities and surrounding areas in the Volta Region are expected to experience an interruption in electricity supply:
- Nyagbo
- Gbadzeme
- Amedzofe
- Parts of Dzolokpuita
- Anfoeta
- Saviefe
- Akome
- Kpedze
- Surrounding communities
ECG has advised customers in the affected areas to take note of the scheduled power interruption as engineers work to restore and improve electricity services.
The power company has apologised for the inconvenience the emergency maintenance exercise may cause and thanked customers for their understanding and cooperation.
The maintenance forms part of ECG’s efforts to address faults and improve the reliability of electricity supply in Ghana, particularly in affected communities across the Volta Region.
