The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a scheduled power outage in parts of the Central Region as the company undertakes planned maintenance works to improve electricity supply and service delivery.
According to ECG, the planned maintenance exercise will take place on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, and will result in a temporary interruption of power supply in several communities.
ECG Planned Maintenance Schedule
The maintenance exercise is scheduled to begin at 9:00am and end at 4:00pm on Wednesday.
Residents and businesses in the affected areas are advised to take note of the ECG power outage schedule and make the necessary preparations ahead of the temporary interruption.

ECG explained that the planned maintenance forms part of efforts to improve the reliability and quality of electricity services in Ghana.
The company has apologised to customers in the affected communities for the inconvenience that may result from the temporary power interruption.
