Ghana’s Black Stars finished 24th overall, in the final standings for the expanded 48-team 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Ghana finished well in the middle of the global tournament field, slightly behind DR Congo (23rd) and ahead of South American team Ecuador (25th).

Morocco led the African nations in the official final list, finishing seventh, followed by Egypt in 15th, Côte d’Ivoire in 19th, and DR Congo in 23rd.

Ghana finished fifth among African teams, ahead of South Africa (26th), Algeria (30th), Senegal (31st), Cabo Verde (32nd), and Tunisia (47th).

Spain won the trophy at the top of the global rankings, with Argentina coming in second, England third, and France fourth.

Iraq, Tunisia, Uzbekistan, and Haiti occupied the bottom four positions.

Ghana’s 24th-place result among 48 global challengers provides the Black Stars with a good basis to work from as they focus on rebuilding and polishing the squad for future international competitions.
