Following his convincing victory in the Super Delegates Conference last month, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has resumed his engagement with the New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s grassroots members.
Dr. Bawumia easily defeated his rivals to take first place in the polls on August 26. His other nine competitors received around 30% of the votes cast in the race to choose five out of the total number of candidates for the main congress in November.
Dr. Bawumia is starting up his constituency and grassroots involvement in the Oti Region less than two weeks after the election.
Dr. Bawumia is anticipated to stay in the region for the ensuing days before continuing his engagements in the Volta Region, which have been titled “Connecting with the People.”
The Vice President communicates and engages with polling place managers, electoral area coordinators, constituency managers, and Council of Elders personally in every constituency.
In the NPP flagbearership election, he demonstrated his strength by winning in every region to garner more over 68% of the legal votes cast, putting his nearest rivals, Kennedy Agyapong and Alan Kyerematen, in a distant second and third place, respectively!
