The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has met with Norman Harold, the husband of Nana Akua Addo, following his discharge from the hospital.

Mr. Harold was unable to participate in the Minister’s earlier visit to the family because he was receiving medical treatment at the time.

The Gender Minister emphasised the importance of creating a safe, stable and peaceful home environment where the children can grow and develop without exposure to family conflict.

She further disclosed that social welfare officers would continue to monitor the children’s welfare and provide the necessary psychosocial support to help the family cope with the situation.

According to the Minister, the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection will maintain close collaboration with the Ghana Police Service and other relevant institutions as investigations into the matter continue.

The Ministry’s intervention forms part of ongoing efforts to promote child protection, family welfare, emotional wellbeing and social support for vulnerable individuals.

The engagement also highlights the importance of coordinated institutional support in safeguarding children and ensuring that their welfare remains a priority during difficult family circumstances.
