Tomorrow, the Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) Executive Council (ExCo) will convene a crucial meeting to discuss several vital matters pertaining to the growth of football in the nation.

The meeting’s agenda will focus heavily on the Black Stars’ recent performance.

The team’s recent performance, particularly in the recently concluded AFCON 2025 qualifiers, has left a bad taste in one’s mouth.

As a result, there have been demands for the FA to act immediately to prevent the team from collapsing. The conference, which was supposed to be about other things, has been dominated by calls to fire Otto Addo, the manager of the Stars.

The ExCo will also talk about the GFA Retreat plan, which is anticipated to happen soon.

It is expected that this retreat will give members and other Ghana Football stakeholders a forum to contribute intelligently to conversations meant to further the growth of the sport in Ghana.

According to an FA release, the ExCo meeting would be updated on the various domestic tournaments, such as the MTN FA Cup, the Women’s FA Cup, the Access Bank Division One League, the Ghana Premier League, and the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League.

Members will also receive updates on the most recent developments involving the other national teams, such as the Black Maidens, Black Princesses, Black Starlets, Black Satellites, Black Queens, and Black Galaxies.

The announcement also states that the U15 Boys and Girls Schools initiative will be discussed.

The ExCo members will be given reports on the activities of the 10 RFAs, the 2nd Division, the 3rd Division, the Colts, and the Regional Women’s Division One Leagues. The Regional Football Associations (RFAs) will also be a major item on the agenda.

Additionally, it disclosed that information on the TDS Elite U15 boys’ and girls’ Colts Championships and the KGL U17 Colts Championship will be available.

Updates on the numerous projects the GFA is working on, including as the ongoing construction at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence (GSCE) in Prampram, are among the other issues on the agenda.
