A Ghanaian TV station has come under fire from Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo for pirating her film less than a day after it was released.
The actress released the final episode of her film, “The Memory of You,” 21 hours prior to this.
According to sources, the actress who debuted the movie on Friday at 5 p.m. criticised NETV for showing it without her consent or license.
She urged Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama to suspend or cancel the station’s licence.
This occurs one week after the Ghana National Film Authority, or NFA, declared its intention to take action against television networks that broadcast Nigerian films without permission.
