Letshego Ghana Savings and Loans Plc has reported a significant improvement in its financial performance, recording a 53.64% increase in profit after tax to GH¢109.30 million for the first nine months of 2026.

The latest financial results represent a substantial increase from the GH¢71.14 million profit recorded during the corresponding period in 2025, reflecting improved earnings from lending activities, reduced funding costs and continued growth in the company’s loan portfolio.

The strong performance was also supported by higher customer deposits, improved capital adequacy ratios and a considerable increase in cash holdings, highlighting the company’s strengthened financial position.

According to the financial results, Letshego Ghana benefited from increased interest income generated through customer loans, alongside a reduction in interest expenses. These developments helped boost overall earnings and improve profitability during the nine-month reporting period.

Despite recording higher operating expenses and credit impairment charges, the savings and loans institution maintained strong profit growth, demonstrating improved earnings capacity and resilience in its financial operations.

The performance positions Letshego Ghana among the financial institutions demonstrating positive earnings growth in Ghana’s banking and non-bank financial services sector in 2026.
