According to President Akufo-Addo, the outcome of the by-elections in Kumawu on Tuesday will determine whether the New Patriotic Party (NPP) wins the 2024 presidential election.

He stressed the importance of the by-election in determining the NPP’s course leading up to the general elections in 2024 while expressing confidence in the party’s chances.

The success of our campaign in the future elections depends on Kumawu. Let’s take advantage of this chance, rally our followers, and prepare the ground for an overwhelming win in 2024,” the President stated.

At a Sunday campaign rally in Kumawu, the President addressed a gathering of supporters and revealed the information.

President Akufo-Addo asserts that the strategic importance of the Kumawu constituency serves as a crucial cornerstone for the NPP’s victory in the upcoming general elections and that the support and momentum attained in Kumawu will spread across the country, paving the way for NPP’s victory in 2024.

He exhorted the citizens of Kumawu to exercise caution and take part fully in the democratic process.

Ernest Yaw Anim, the New Patriotic Party candidate for the by-election, has the support of President Akufo-Addo as the most qualified candidate to represent the constituency.

The NPP’s goal of advancement, development, and peace was reflected in the President’s assurance that Anim would win.

The President discussed several accomplishments and changes that have occurred throughout his administration during his speech. He emphasized his administration’s accomplishments, especially those related to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

He emphasized the government’s commitment to reviving the economy and promoting growth by saying, “We have lifted all restrictions on COVID for everything to bounce back and so things are getting better.”

The President also praised the IMF’s recent acceptance of a loan, calling it “great news” and crediting the quick decision to his government’s tenacious efforts and persuasive argument.

The President said that the current NPP administration has already carried out a sizable amount of work in accordance with its campaign promises and that Ghanaians should therefore give the NPP the mandate to carry out its activities in 2024.

Along with other senior party leaders, he was accompanied by the National Chairman of the party, Stephen Ntim, the General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua, and the National Organizer, Henry Nana Boakye.
