One person has been taken into custody at Ntobroso in the Ashanti Region’s Atwima Mponua region as a result of an arrest made by Ashanti Regional Minister Simon Osei Mensah.
When the minister noticed cocoa beans being dried on the paved road while traveling in a convoy, he stopped.
The furious minister demanded that the men remove the beans from the road.
One of the men added, “This is not galamsey and it won’t damage the road,” as they continued.
The indignant minister replied, “Is this not more than galamsey?”
