The burial and funeral plans for Mawuena Adzo Dumor Trebarh, the former CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), have been made public by her family.
Mrs. Trebarh’s funeral is scheduled for Saturday, June 29, 2024. She passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.
The funeral service will begin at seven in the morning at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Adabraka, Accra. For the service, attendees are asked to dress in black.
At the same Cathedral, a thanksgiving ceremony is planned for the next day, Sunday, June 30, 2024, at 9:30 am. The family has allocated black and white clothing for this occasion.
Friends and supporters are asked to sign a book of condolence at the home of Prof. Ernest Dumor, Mrs. Trebarh’s father, prior to the funeral.

In April 2013 to January 2017, Mrs. Trebarh became the first female CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), marking a major career advancement.
Prior to her historic appointment, she had prestigious roles at Newmont Ghana Gold Ltd. and Ashanti Goldfields Company Ltd., where she later overcame obstacles as head of Corporate Communications after breaking ground as the first female underground exploration geologist.
As the head of Corporate Service at Mobile telecoms Network (MTN), she made contributions to the telecoms industry as well.
She served as Inspire Africa’s first director and chief business strategist.
Mrs. Trebarh passed away one day before her birthday, which is a sad day for her family and coworkers.
She leaves behind her husband, Flt LT Divine Trebarh, and their daughter, Katherine Joy.
