On Day Two of the Eastern Region Operation, NAIMOS enters Atiwa Forest and finds heavy machinery, river diversion, and child labor.
On December 5, 2025, the second day of NAIMOS’ Eastern Region operation got underway at first light as the crew continued their chase of persistent illegal mining networks by moving farther into the Atiwa Forest.
The team traveled between Pimpong and Fante Ebuorho, two enclaves along the banks of the Ayensu River where galamsey activities had been thriving, from 0700 hours till dusk.
