President John Dramani Mahama’s image, which represents his leadership and commitment to the Ghanaian people, was formally revealed by the Office of the President.
The portrait embodies Ghanaians’ core beliefs and goals and is a symbol of national pride and solidarity, according to a statement issued on January 9, 2025 by the President’s acting spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu.
Concerns about the official portrait’s creation and distribution were also covered in the statement.
It made it clear that the government has no plans to create framed copies in large quantities for distribution and has not given any permission to any person or business to do so.
“Ministries, Departments, Agencies, private businesses, companies, and the general public are kindly informed that the Government HAS NOT AND WILL NOT contracted any company or individual to produce framed pictures of the official portrait in bulk for distribution,” the statement read.
